Joshua Lucero – Director of Construction, RME & Owner

​As Director of Construction and Responsible Managing Employee for the Hui Kupa’a, Joshua Lucero has 20 years of personal experience in the Solar Energy Industry and has overseen 75MW of PV construction in the State of Hawaii since starting in 2001. In 2008 his focus went from residential PV system construction to the commercial sector of business.  The commercial project list makes up a majority of the 75MW he’s overseen on a number of well-known customer’s rooftops, ground mounts (fixed tilt and tracker systems) and also carport installations. He holds a State of Hawaii Electrical Journeyman License and also C-13 Electrical Contractors License. 

Matthew Blake – Senior Project Manager & Owner

​Matthew Blake has been working in the Hawaii PV industry since 2011 as a Senior Commercial Project Manager. He’s managed HECO FIT, NEM, SIA and also off-grid projects for the Military. Matthew has managed logistics for projects from engineering,  permitting, procurement, mobilization, coordination with clients for construction project schedules, demobilization, permit closeout, utility closeout, client project turnover process and internal company budget/profit and loss statements. Matthew knows what it takes to build projects on time and in budget.

Kelly Higashi – Accounting / HR

Kelly Higashi has been an integral part of the company's success managing the accounting and HR services for Hui Kupa'a.  She has been with the company from the beginning and is a great support member to the team and our clients.
